Wilkinson came to Michigan Tech as an assistant coach in 1997.
Huskies head coach Tim Watters has announced that Peter Wilkinson has been hired as an assistant coach at Michigan Tech. Wilkinson, the son of current Western Michigan coach Bill Wilkinson, played for the Broncos for four seasons, and helped the team earn two consecutive NCAA appearances and four CCHA playoff spots. He spent last season as an assistant coach at Portage (Michigan) High School, under former Michigan Tech player Jim Murray. He has also served as an intern with the St. Louis Blues, and worked in organizing the NHL draft.
